The Eric Sloane Museum in Kent will present a workshop Aug. 4 from 1 to 3 p.m.

A teaching artist will teach participants age 6 and older how to build a wooden tool box.

Attendees will learn how to follow a plan, measure a board, lay out square lines, cut with a handsaw, drill holes, fasten with nails and screws.

Each box can be customized to fit specific tools, supplies, collectibles, etc.

Children must be accompanied by an adult for the workshop, which will cost $10, at 31 Kent-Cornwall Road (Route 7).
