Todd Hauspurg, 39, of Sherman, died June 17 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Gina Hauspurg, and father of two sons, Gavin, and Spencer.

His wife and kids were the pride of his life.

Mr. Hauspurg lived in Sherman for 18 years. He graduated from Henry Abbott Technical School in Danbury and the New York Restaurant School.

Upon his graduation with a culinary arts degree, he interned at Arizona 206 in Manhattan under award-winning chef David Walzog.

Following his passion for food and more importantly peppers, he opened a Southwestern Restaurant called Arizona Grill in Washington.

In addition to his wife, and sons, Mr. Hauspurg is survived by his mother and father, Thomas, and Leslie Hauspurg; his mother- and father in-law, James and Sharon Mandracchia; a brother, Brian; a sister, Tracy Zeqiri; his best friend and brother in-law, Jim Brady; and seven nieces and nephews, Michaela, Fiona, Miranda, Arian, Brady, Maddie and Emma.

The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
