The New Milford ThriftMart will hold a $2 sale March 18.

Articles of clothing will be sold for $2.

Boutique items will not be included in the sale.

The store is celebrating its 63rd anniversary.

The ThriftMart first opened on South Main Street and moved several times over the years, finally settling in at its current location at 146 Danbury Road.

“We want to thank all of our smart shoppers, our faithful donors of slightly used clothing and household items,” said president Susan Metcalf.

“And we especially want to say thank you to our daily volunteers,” Metcalf said, noting the “biggest workforce is volunteerism.”

The ThriftMart is an all-volunteer organization.

The store’s only expenses are rent, electricity and supplies.
