Ahead of the fall semester, Connecticut issued reopening guidelines for universities and colleges. These guidelines include the mandatory use of face masks in common areas, sanitation stations and mandatory COVID-19 testing.

Some schools have announced HyFlex classes, in which classes are simultaneously conducted in-person and stream online. Many schools are also offering hybrid models in which some classes are online and others are in-person. Additionally, a number of schools will only hold in-person classes until Thanksgiving break and complete the semester online.
