TheatreWorks to open ‘Man of La Mancha’
TheatreWorks New Milford will open its production of the classic musical “Man of La Mancha” by Dale Wasserman, Joe Darion and Mitch Leigh Dec. 7 at 8 p.m.
Following opening night, the play will be staged Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. through Jan. 5, as well as Dec. 23 and 30 at 2 p.m.
The musical is based on Miguel de Cervantes' tale “Don Quixote.”
The production is under the direction of Francis A. Daley of Danbury. The musical director is Morgan Kelsey of Bethel and the choreographer is Sandra Hernandez of New Milford. The scenic design is by Leif Smith and lighting design by Peter Petrino.
The cast includes Fred Rueck, John Ponzini, Elizeth Brito, Roger Grace, Viv Berger, Morgana Watson, Peter Philip, Rob Pawlikowski, Marsha Prophet, Erin Walsh, Richard Chad Frey, Alex Vournazos, Nick Raines,and Lindsey Partelow.
Tickets are $30 for reserved seating. Students and military personnel and veterans with ID will be admitted for $25. A pay-what-you-can night will be held Dec. 13 at 8 p.m.
The theater is located at 5 Brookside Ave., but parking is behind the Catherine E. Lillis Building off East Street.
