To the Editor:

Recently, my home was the recipient of the volunteer group, Rebuilding Together.

It was an awesome experience. The carpenters are very talented and the quality of the materials excellent.

My windows were replaced to make my home more energy efficient, and a new storm door was put on. A rotted doorstep was rebuilt.

I would like to thank all who helped set this up, especially Ceia Webb, the executive director; Ralph Williams III, the house captain; Dr. Max Meyer, the safety captain; and everyone who did the work and those who helped in the background. It was an awe-inspiring day.

My grandather built this house in the 1870s, and I am certain he would approve of all the updates and the skill of the carpenters.
