An invasive-species walk and talk will take place April 19 at 9:30 a.m. in Sherman.

The program, co-presented by the Sherman Conservation Commission, Sherman JCC and the Naromi Land Trust, will take place at the Jewish Community Center at 9 Route 39 South.

Jeff Main, park manager at Ward Pound Ridge, will discuss why we should be concerned about invasive species, how to identify them and how to control them.

A walk at Colonial Park behind Sherman School will follow the indoor presentation.
