'Success' of Chocolate Fest in part due to sponsors
The Kent Center School Scholarship Fund wishes to express its sincere appreciation to the greater Kent community for its support of the 13th Annual Chocolate Fest.
The Chocolate Fest Committee especially would like to recognize Fife 'n Drum Restaurant, the Kent Junior Girl Scouts, Kent School, South Kent School and Marvelwood School for their delicious donations; Looking Good Licensing for donating the printing of the posters; Toys Galore & More for the donation of balloons; Lily's Florist for the carnations; Costco for the chocolate fountain; and Dennis Curtis for the chocolate figure.
Also, the fest vendors: Backcountry Outfitters, Lia Sophia, Kent Coffee and Chocolate, Kent Memorial Library, artsAlive@Kent Cen ter and Union Savings Bank.
The committee thanks Matthews 1812 House Inc., The Daphne Baking Company, Bridgewater Chocolate, Belgique Patisserie & Chocolatier, Lia Sophia, House of Books, Costco and Kent Coffee and Chocolates for their donations to the auction table; the Daisy's and Art Coffill's art class at Kent Center School for the decorations; the KCS staff and maintenance crew for their invaluable assistance; Automatic Signs, J&J Printing and Kate Kovacs Luurtsema.
And we appreciate the following businesses for their help with advanced ticket sales: Davis IGA, House of Books, Backcountry Outfitters, Gourmet Palette, Kent Coffee and Chocolate, Toys Galore & More and Kent Market.
The success of the Chocolate Fest is due in large part to the collaboration of these volunteers and the scores of KCS family and community bakers who donate the chocolate confections.
Thank you for helping the scholarship fund to assist KCS graduates. We are grateful for your continuing support.
