To the Editor:

This year's Sherman PTO senior luncheon was a wonderful example of what we love about this town.

On Nov. 14, the SPTO volunteers cooked and served an incredible 65 delicious meals at the Sherman School to seniors, and another 10 were delivered to homebound seniors.

The Sherman School's eighth-grade students kindly served the amazing, home-baked luncheon.

Girl Scouts made lovely placemats and favors.

Entertainment included music from the band, beautiful sounds from the strings as well as great lyrics from the students who had written songs.

As one senior mentioned, "there is nothing more heartwarming than listening to young children singing."

All of us thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
