New Milford Hospital will offer a Strong Women, Strong Bones Program, a nationally recognized fitness program for middle-aged and older women, in the coming weeks.

Sessions will meet twice a week for seven weeks at three sites in the Greater New Milford area.

The program is appropriate for most women; however, all participants 70 years of age and older must consult with their physician before beginning this exercise program.

In New Milford, classes will meet Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays -- participants will select two classes per week -- from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Oct. 27 through Dec. 12 at New Milford Hospital on Elm Street.

In Washington, classes will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Oct. 27 through Dec. 10 at the Washington Senior Center in Bryan Plaza.

In Kent, classes will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 11:15 a.m. Oct. 28 through Dec. 11 at the Kent Specialty Care Center at 46 Maple St.

The cost is $85 per seven-week session, and the fee is pro-rated if someone joins mid-season.
