Stella Nardi , 91, of Bridgewater, formerly of White Plains and Mahopac, N.Y., and Florida, died Nov. 16 at Candlewood Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in New Milford. She was the widow of Primo Joseph Nardi.

Mrs. Nardi was born April 7, 1921, in Bridgeport, a daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Koutrakis) Geanuracos. As a young girl, she worked in the family's bakery, Helenic Bakery, in Bridgeport.

During the war, she was employed by Remington Arms and later worked for Hypertonic Corp. in Brewster, N.Y.

Mrs. Nardi retired 34 years ago and moved from Mahopac to Florida, where she lived until 1996, when she moved to Bridgewater to live with her daughter.

She enjoyed doing fancy needlework, sewing and gardening, and loved spending time with her family.

Mrs. Nardi is survived by two sons, Louis Nardi, of New York, and P. Joseph Nardi, of North Carolina; four daughters, Millie Hocking, of Connecticut, Joanne Baker and Gail Loyd, of Florida, and Connie Carter, of North Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Elaine Nardi, of New York; a brother, James Geanuracos, and his wife, Mary, of Connecticut, and a sister, Theresa Nardi, of New York; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas J. Nardi; three brothers, George, Charles and Constantine Geanuracos; and a sister, Florence Nevers.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Colonial Funeral Home, 87 Park Lane Road (Route 202), New Milford.

Burial will be in Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery, Daytona Beach, Fla., at a later date.
