New Milford High School will play host to a St. Baldrick’s fundraising event March 16 from 4 to 6 p.m.

The St. Baldrick’s foundation raises money to combat childhood cancer on many different fronts.

Specifically, the money benefits high-impact clinical trials for rare disease types at hospitals, funding and training researchers, and funding supportive care research.

Donations are made by participants who volunteer to have their heads shaved for the cause.

The National Honors Society, DECA, Key Club, and NMHS Dramatics will help coordinate the event.

As of press time, $436 had been raised for the event.

The goal is to raise $14,000.

The fundraiser is also being held at Brookfield High School.
