Spring arts and fine crafts show on tap
The Merwinsville Hotel in Gaylordsville will hold its second annual spring arts and fine crafts show May 6-7 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The show will feature works from more than 75 local artists and artisans representing glass, jewelry, blacksmithing, woodturning, painting, photography, pottery and more.

In addition to local artists, there will be locally grown delights from Meadowbrook Garden of New Milford and The Village Farm from Gaylordsville.
“These shows not only help us showcase the amazing and diverse talent of the local artists we have in our area, but also helps us spread awareness about the Merwinsville Hotel and share it with the public,” said Jeremy Ruman, president of the board of directors.
“We’re excited to start restoration work on our third floor ballroom this year,” Ruman said. “It wouldn’t be possible without the generous donations from the public, our members and our volunteers. As a non-profit, we rely on these donations to continue our constant upkeep and restoration of this historic 1843 building.”
A $2 donation per person is requested. Children under 12 will be admitted for free.
The Merwinsville Hotel is a historic landmark located at 1 Brown’s Forge Road.
