The Merwinsville Hotel in Gaylordsvlle will host a spring arts and fine craft show Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The show will feature works from over 50 local artists and artisans, with glass, jewelry, blacksmithing, woodturning, painting, photography, pottery and more artists on hand with their wares.

Live artist demonstrations, including blacksmithing, woodturning and metalsmithing, will be offered throughout the weekend.

Locally grown delights from Meadowbrook Garden and The Village Farm Shop and Greenhouse will be available for purchase.

“These shows not only help us showcase the amazing and diverse talent of the local artists we have in our area, but also helps us spread awareness about the Merwinsville Hotel and share it with the public,” said Jeremy Ruman, president of the board of directors.

“We’re a nonprofit organization founded in 1971 and dedicated to the restoration of one of the last standing trackside station hotels east of the Mississippi River,” Ruman said. “We rely on donations and volunteers to keep our efforts moving forward.”

Admission is $2 for adults. Children under 12 will be admitted for free.

The historic hotel is at 1 Brown’s Forge Road.
