'Spring Fair' graces New Milford High
The inaugural New Milford Spring Fair Days has left its mark.
The Future Business Leaders of America chapter at New Milford High School hosted the April 27 event as a community service project and a fundraiser for the group's activities.
The chapter teamed with the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce to co-sponsor the trade show and craft fair.
"The FBLA is taking something on that adults should have come up with a long time ago," said Chamber board member Bob Hanna.
He added he hopes the fair inspires a few students to become business leaders in the community.
The event featured local craft, business and food vendors in the gymnasium at the high school.
Vendors paid a fee in advance of the event, with reduced rates available for school organizations and families of FBLA members.
Funds raised will support the FBLA's participation in the FBLA spring leadership conference, and possibly the group's trip to the national FBLA conference this summer.
