Samuel Pitser
has been named to the president’s list for the fall semester at Southern New Hampshire University. To be eligible for this honor, a student must compile an academic grade point average of 3.7-4.0.
Michael Vita
, a recipient of a John Pettibone Memorial Scholarship Fund recipient, has graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a B.S. in music education magna cum laude. He is a certified Connecticut music educator who is employed at Plainfield Middle School in Plainfield. While at CCSU, he was the drum major of the CCSU Marching Band, performed as first trumpet chair in the CCSU jazz ensemble, wind ensemble, concert and symphonic bands, CCSU Pep Band and performed with the Accapela group Fermata the Blue. He has toured the country with his drum corps, 7th Regiment from New London for the past eight years, where he is now an instructor. Vita is also a visual marching tech instructor for the world class Trumbull High School Marching Band and Color Guard. He instructs the Trumbull High School Winter Percussion Ensemble and is an Eagle Scout from Troop 66 St. Francis Xavier Church in New Milford.
