Spooner to give concert in Washington
Washington native Jason Spooner will perform a family friendly concert Aug. 22 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The concert will be held at the River Walk Pavilion in Washington.
The Jason Spooner Band, of Portland, Maine, is in the midst of a musical growth spurt.
Over the last few years, the quartet has opened for acts as varied as B.B. King, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Ray LaMontagne, Susan Tedeschi, Jackie Greene, G. Love, Guster, Blues Traveler, Peter Rowan and Sara Bareilles.
The band's latest studio album has been featured heavily on Sirius/XM's The Loft channel, on NPR's All Things Considered and at over 11,000 Starbucks retail locations nationwide.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Stroller-aged children are free. Tickets are available at the Washington Parks and Recreation Office or by calling 860-868-1519, as well as at the door.
