Spectrum shares its letters policy
Published 4:24 pm, Wednesday, October 16, 2013
Letters to the editor regarding the Nov. Nov. 5 municipal election in Greater New Milford Spectrum's seven-town area are welcome and will be printed as space permits.
Letters will also be posted at www.newmilfordspectrum.com.
The deadline for election letters will be Oct. 21 at 5 p.m. for the Oct. 25 edition.
No political letters will be published in the Nov. 2 edition because that would not allow the opportunity for a response prior to Election Day.
Writers are asked to please focus on opinions on issues and not simply endorse a candidate. Please keep the debate civil.
During the campaign season, the letters section is reserved for those who are not candidates.
Candidates may submit issue-oriented press releases for publication elsewhere in the newspaper.
All submissions must be signed and include the writer's town of residence (for publication) as well as home address and phone number (not for publication).
The deadline for all other letters is Tuesday at noon, although The Spectrum would consider publication of letters submitted by Tuesday at 6 p.m. related to events on Tuesday.
Inquiries regarding Letters to the Editor should be made to Spectrum editor Norm Cummings at 860-355-7323 or email@example.com.
Send submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org or The Greater New Milford Spectrum, attention Norm Cummings, 45B Main St., New Milford, CT 06776.
