Coach: Al Ciarlo, 2nd year.
Assistant: Tara Flaherty.
2008 record, accomplishments: 10-4-2, fourth in the Berkshire League, advanced to the state class 'S' tournament quarterfinals.
Injury loss: Paige Parker for a second straight year with an ACL tear.
2009 captains: Samantha Metcalf, Ali Moravsky.
Coach's outlook: "With the exception of our goalie, we lost our entire defense., which allowed just one goal per game last year with 8 shutouts. The new defense will consist of players playing the positions for the first time or freshmen playing those positions, so that will make it very challenging. However, the young kids are soccer players, so that will make the transition much easier. They work very hard in practice, are coachable and their attitude is great. I expect our offense, which was a weakness last year (two goals per contest) to be much better, with everyone returning and last year's freshmen having a year of experience under their belt. The Berkshire League appears to be very competitive once again with Nonnewaug, Lewis Mills, Terryville, Gilbert and Northwestern leading the way. Our expectations are to qualify for states and finish in the top five in the league."
