The Eric Sloane Museum in Kent will celebrate the annual Connecticut Open House Day with a special program June 8.

Joe Buda will share his lifelong interest in woodcarving, sculpting and woodworking and display his "Art at Work" placemats and several sculptures made from repurposed materials from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., during which time admission at the museum is free.

The museum located at 31 Kent-Cornwall Road (route 7 North) is open Thursdays through Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
