A "Sit for Autism: A Training for Babysitters" program has been planned at four locations, including in New Milford.

The program is presented by the Southern Connecticut State University Center of Excellence on Autism Spectrum Disorders and hosted by the Northwest Medical Home Initiative at St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury.

The program, offering tips and strategies for babysitters and caregivers of individuals with autism spectrum disorders, will take place April 27 from 9 to 11 at the Maxx on Railroad Street in New Milford; May 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the United Way of Western Connecticut in Danbury (call for location and directions); May 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Children's Therapy Services, 1389 W. Main St., Suite 225, Waterbury; and June 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Education Connection, 355 Goshen Road, Litchfield.
