The Silo at Hunt Hill Farm in the Northville section of New Milford will present a "Civil War -- 150" event Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Activities include a Civil War living history with an encampment and demonstrations by the 2nd Volunteer Regiment; an art show featuring Abraham Lincoln illustrations and paintings by Wendell Minor and Wendy Allen; Civil War-era quilts and a New Milford Historical Society exhibit; a book signing with Wendell Minor and Wendy Allen; self-guided walks; a family scavenger hunt; children's games and family activities; hands-on children's "Civil War Cookies" cooking classes; a multimedia presentation, "Searching for the Exact Location of America's Soul (A Painter's Pursuit)"; and food vendors.

In addition, children's musical performances with entertainer Sari Maxx will be held Aug. 9 and lectures and an exhibit on Civil War photography Aug. 10.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 16, $8 for seniors and veterans and free for children under 5. Some activities may have an additional charge.
