Sidewalk Festival under way in Kent

The Kent Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the Kent Sidewalk Festival through July 31 in and around downtown Kent.
The event will feature music, food, sales, children's activities and more.
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Main Street in Kent will hold a giant tag sale July 29-30 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Early birds will be admitted July 29 for $10 from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
The Kent Center School Scholarship Fund will hold an upscale tag sale July 29-30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and July 31 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Golden Falcon Field across Bain Real Estate.
Bags may be filled for July 31 for $5.
Entertainment will include visits with "Elvis" at the Kent Coffee and Chocolate, strolling performers/singers from TriArts Sharon Playhouse; music by Andy and Jeannette Hicks, students from the Litchfield Jazz Camp, John Couch, the Homegrown Band, the Joint Chiefs, Joe Bouchard and Bruce Wheeler on the front porch of Richard Lindsey Bookseller; ancers from the Earl Mosley Institute for the Arts July 30 from 2 to 4 p.m.; and live music at Annie Bananie.
Parking will be available on the street and on the Kent Green property.
