Sherman Chamber Ensemble to perform concerts

The Sherman Chamber Ensemble will present its annual “Best of Baroque” concerts Saturday, Jan. 7 in Pawling, N.Y., and Sunday, Jan. 8 in Kent.

The 4 p.m. concerts will be held at Christ Church on Quaker Hill in Pawling and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church at the corner of routes 7 and 341 in Kent.

Both concerts will be followed by an informal reception where audience members will have an opportunity to meet the musicians.

The program will include music for harpsichord, flute and strings by Bach, Zelenka, Telemann and Vivaldi.

A special guest, Dylan Sauerwald, an international prize-winning harpsichordist, will be joined by Sherman Chamber Ensemble cellist and Artistic Director Eliot Bailen, Susan Rotholz on flute, Gerard Reuter on oboe and Doori Na on violin.

Tickets are $30 for general admission, $25 for senior citizens and students, and free for children 15 under with the purchase of a paid ticket.
