Veterans Memorial Bridge in New Milford, one of the most heavily trafficked bridges in the area, is reportedly in a state of disrepair after being neglected for years.

And the bridge is hardly an anomaly.

Consider, in 2009, when the American Society of Civil Engineers released its most recent Report Card for America's Infrastructure, the group gave U.S. infrastructure an overall grade of "D."
