Kent Memorial Library will present a program, "You Wrote a Book, Now What --The Secrets to Getting Published," Sept. 6 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Literary agent Jan L. Kardys and award-winning self-published author Jeanne E. Rogers will be the guest speakers at the Main Street library.

The program will address the pros and cons of traditional and self-publishing, how to land the right agent, how to best research competition and how to write a better query letter. Attendees will also be introduced to the benefits of social media, and why it is necessary to get involved.

The program will consist of a PowerPoint presentation and handouts.

The cost is $5.
