Sarah (Lasky) Levenstein, 100, of Sharon, formerly of New Milford, died April 5, 2010, at the Sharon Health Care Center. She was the widow of Samuel Levenstein.

Mrs. Levenstein was born Jan. 1, 1910, in England, daughter of the late Samuel and Dora (Dubin) Lasky.

She came from England to the United States in 1915, and moved from Brooklyn, N.Y., to New Milford in 1954.

Mrs. Levenstein was the former owner and operator of the Kenwood Lodge in New Milford.

She was a member of Temple Sholom of New Milford.

Mrs. Levenstein is survived by a son, Dr. Marvin Levenstein, of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter, Laura Glasner, and her husband, Dr. Murray Glasner, of Brookfield; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service with Rabbi Norman Koch of Temple Sholom officiating will take place today (Friday) at 1 p.m. at the United Jewish Cemetery, Grays Bridge Road, Brookfield.

The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
