Rwandan Holocaust survivor to visit Gunnery

The Gunnery, a private school in Washington, will present a program Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. with author Immaculee Ilibagiza.
Ms. Ilibagiza is the author of "Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust," which tells the story of her 91 days of hiding in a bathroom with seven other women to escape persecution and death in 1994.
During this time, she taught herself English using a Bible and a dictionary.
Ms. Ilibagiza was a recipient of the Mahatma Ghandi International Award for Reconciliation and Peace in 2007.
She works with the United Nations, has made numerous television appearances, including CNN and 60 Minutes, has made a documentary "Ready to Forgive, An African Story of Grace about the Acholi people of Northern Uganda, and recently signed a contract for the filming of her life story.
