The Roxbury Senior Center has announced a variety of upcoming events.
Craft workshops will be led March 4 and 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. by Patty Baillargeon.
A new adventures in cooking class with Marianne De Silva will be offered March 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Valerie Annis will lead a discussion of "Ladies of Missalonghi" March 16 at 12:30 p.m.
The "Soup's On" lunch will run Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m. To cook, bake, set up or clean up, call 860-354-9604.
Bill Chin will be available at the center every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. to give computer supportive services for seniors. For more information or to make an appointment, call 860-210-0056.
Free blood pressure screenings will be offered by the Visiting Nurse Services every Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The exercise class with physical therapist Mary O'Hara will meet Wednesdays at 2 p.m.
Free piano lessons with Dr. David Lincicome will be offered Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
A new knitting and needlework group will meet Thursdays from 10:30 to noon.
The center will close if Roxbury public schools were to be closed or have early dismissal due to inclement weather conditions. If there were to be a delayed schools opening, all programs would run as scheduled.
The Roxbury Senior Center is located at 7 South St. and normally is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
