The ninth annual Run For A Cure three-mile road race will be held next Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26 in Roxbury.

Proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life and New Milford Hospital's Regional Cancer Center.

The event will be sponsored by the Roxbury Congregational Church, the Roxbury Recreation Commission and the Roxbury road race series.

The race will start near the Roxbury Congregational Church along Route 317, proceed on Route 67 to the left turn for the steep ascent on Chalybes Road, left on Hemlock Road, straight ahead on Rocky Mountain Road, left on West Apple Lane, left on South Street and right to Route 317 and the finish line by the church.

A six-tenths mile children's race will start at 9 a.m., followed by walkers and runners with strollers at 9:15 a.m. and the main field at 9:30 a.m.

Cost of $10 will be payable on the morning of the run from 7:30 to 9:15 at the Roxbury Congregational Church.
