Roxbury Congregational Church to have Holy Week, Easter services

ROXBURY — Roxbury Congregational Church, a congregation of the United Church of Christ at 24 Church Street, will have Holy Week and Easter services.

On Thursday, April 1, beginning at 7 p.m., there will be a Service of Tenebrae and Communion online at facebook.com/roxburychurch. All are invited to attend and have the communion elements of bread and cup of their choosing with them.

On Good Friday, April 2, the church’s meetinghouse will be open for prayer and meditation all day. Devotional resources will be available for that time.

On Easter, April 4, there will be an outdoor sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. at Good Hill Road (Route 317) at Upper Grassy Hill Road on the Woodbury town line. The public is invited.

At 10:30 a.m., there will be a traditional Easter worship service in-person and virtually on Facebook Live and Zoom. Links will be the church’s website at www.roxburychurch.org. The Rev. David F. Peters, minister, will be preaching. The public is invited.
