Rosemarie L. Bouton, of Sherman died Oct. 22, 2010, at her home. She was the widow of Richard J. Bouton.

Mrs. Bouton was born in Englewood, N.J., daughter of the late Charles and Mary (DePret) Lasher.

She graduated from Closter High School and Rockland State Hospital School of Nursing.

Mrs. Bouton retired from New Milford Hospital in 1996. She had served as chairman of the board of directors of the Connecticut Heart Association in 1984.

She was a longtime volunteer for FISH and the Sherman Higher Education Fund.

Mrs. Bouton enjoyed traveling throughout the Caribbean and visiting the Native American reservations in Northeastern Connecticut.

Mrs. Bouton is survived by a daughter, Marie (Bouton) McGuirk, and her husband, Daniel Crimmins, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; as well as Michael Ryan McGuirk, Madison McGuirk, Morganne McGuirk, Kyle P. Crimmins and Jordan Marie Crimmins, to whom she was known as "Nonny;" two sisters; a brothe; and several nieces and nephews.

The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
