The Bridgewater Congregational Church's sixth annual concert celebrating the history and evolution of rock music will be presented Nov. 8 and 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the church.

A group of a dozen rockers will offer a program including songs by Muddy Waters, Hank Williams, Ray Charles, Martha and the Vandellas, Sam Cooke, the Byrds, the Beatles, U2, Bonnie Raitt, Tedeschi Trucks and Feist.

Proceeds will benefit the church.

The doors will open at 7 p.m. and patrons are welcome to an after-party included in the price of the ticket.

The church is located at the intersection of Clapboard Road and Main Street (Route 133) in the center of Bridgewater.

The Revuers started out as a casual band of five musicians who wanted to put on a fundraiser for the church in 2009.

When iconic folk musician Pete Seeger pitched in to help out, the Revuers upped their game. They now a group of eight semi-pros who play gigs together in both Litchfield and Fairfield counties.

As in previous Roots Rock shows, they'll be joined by invited performers whose particular talents will be featured in certain numbers.
