Robotics And Beyond in New Milford has joined GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that combines the power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
The special day occurs annually and takes place each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving following Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
This year it will be on Tuesday.
The event serves to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their communities and to support the charities and causes they support.
This is the fourth year of the event.
Robotics And Beyond provides guidance, encouragement and resources that enable young people from kindergarten to grade 12 discover and develop their talents in areas of science, technology, engineering, mathematics and design-related fields.
“We joined GivingTuesday this year as part of our expanding effort to engage local and regional individuals and businesses in supporting our young people as they strive to discover their talents and passions and pursue fulfilling careers and lives,” said Paul Chayka, director of Robotics And Beyond.
“Despite modest costs, our programs are still out of reach of too many families and we need to greatly increase our tuition assistance pool,” he said. “Events like GivingTuesday can help with this objective.”
