Robotics And Beyond in New Milford, a STEM education nonprofit organization, will offer a series of free career and college experience open houses at New Milford High School for students going into ninth grade and up next month.

Adult professionals and college students will share their career and education path decisions and experiences one-on-one and with small groups of young people and parents.

“There will be STEM and design professionals and college students from a wide variety of fields, to provide insight to what these careers actually involve and the education paths students might consider,” said RAB Director Paul Chayka.

“Robotics And Beyond has always made a priority of providing perspective on the many careers and education paths in fields of STEM and design,” he said.

The college experience open house will take place July 19 from 5 to 8 p.m. and July 22 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while the career experience event will be July 22 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Connecticut Community Foundation is a primary sponsor of these events through its Cradle to Career program, which fosters greater availability of resources for the public, and especially disadvantaged families, to improve their opportunities to succeed in school and careers.
