Robbyn's Nest Education Center will offer several programs this month.

A Recycling and Going Green program for children will be offered Nov. 6 from 2 to 3 p.m.

Tiffany Carlson, recycling education program director of the Housatonic Resources Recovery Authority, will lead the program.

Carlson has been volunteering with the organization for almost four years.

The presentation is a tutorial on recycling and requires parental support.

Children of all ages are welcome.

Some of the key points to be discussed include: how much trash we make; where our trash goes; why it’s important to recycle; what items are recyclable in this area; how we prepare recycling for collection; what happens to our recyclables; and what products can be made from items we recycle.

A dog training session for owners only will be offered Nov. 12 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

Donna Gleason, who has over 10 years of dog training experience and is a TLC dog trainer, will lead the course.

Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children.

A free Mommy and Me Family Fun Play Day will be offered Nov. 14 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

A tea party for children ages 3 through 11 will be held Nov. 18, with sessions from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and from 3 to 4 p.m.

The 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. session is full.

The tea will be provided by Happy Rainbows Tea, and finger foods will be served.

Actor Steven Stott of Brookfield will portray Butler Carlson of “Downton Abbey,” and Barbara Disraeli of Brewster, N.Y., will portray Edith of “Downtown Abbey.”

Art teacher Victoria Hayes will lead an art project and participants will read “Tea for Ruby” by Sarah Ferguson.

The cost will be $6.
