New Milford Regulators have announced a variety of fundraising events for the coming weeks in preparation for the July 12U Cal Ripken Regional Tournament.

The Regulators will play host to the tournament, which will begin July 14, in town.

Eight teams from New England will participate in the tournament.

The winner of the tournament will advance to represent New England in the Cal Ripken World Series in Branson, Mo.

A spin-a-thon will be held May 18 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Phys-Ed at 10 Still River Drive.

Val Walsh will head up the spin-a-thon.

On May 23, 20 percent of sales at Tivoli Restaurant on Main Street will benefit the Regulators.

A vendor sale is planned for June 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Maxx on Railroad Street.

Twenty to 25 vendors will participate. Among them, Tastefully Simple, 31, Lu La Roe and others.

Tickets to the fair are $5.

On June 6, a percent of sales at 1st & 10 Sports Bar & Grill at 507 Danbury Road will benefit the Regulators.

The Regulators have already held several fundraisers, including an event at Tasty Waves.

In addition to the events, the Regulators are seeking sponsors for its program, which will be distributed to all participants in the tournament.

Business card ads are $25, a quarter page ad is $75, a half page is $125 and a full page ad is $200.

The deadline to participate in the program is May 30.

General monetary donations and goods to be used in drawings at upcoming events are also welcome.

Donations of gift certificates, baskets of goods and more are welcome.
