Regina Dower, 92, lived in New Milford
Mrs. Dower was born April 4, 1920, in Pawling, N.Y., daughter of the late James and Margaret (Hughes) Patterson.
She was a resident of the Danbury, Sherman, and New Milford area since 1950 moving from Brewster, N.Y.
Mrs. Dower worked as a telephone operator for New York Bell in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., during World War II until her marriage.
She was a founding member of King Street Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary in Danbury, a member of the Ladies Guild of Holy Trinity Church in Sherman and a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians in Danbury.
Mrs. Dower was a devoted mother and grandmother and always found great joy with children.
Mrs. Dower is survived by a son, John E. Dower Jr., and his wife, Kristina, of Princeton, Mass.; three daughters, Donna Tuck, and her husband, Alvin, Diana Grasseler, and her husband, Paul Sr., and Pamela Bonner, and her husband, Clyde, of Sherman; a sister, Isabell Yurick, of Tamarac, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, James R. Dower; four sisters; and a brother.
A memorial Mass will be held May 4 at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Church, 15 Route 37 Center, Sherman. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
