The Washington Art Association will open an exhibit, "Zen of Contemplation," with a reception May 6 from 4 to 6 p.m.

The show, which will run through June 17, will feature ceramics by Jody Hojin Kimmel, an installation by Tatjana Myoko v. Prittwitz, photographs by John Daido Lorri Roshi and William Kando Johnston, sculpture by Linda Hoffman, paintings by Sally Drummond, paintings by Michelle Seigei Spark and Charles Cajori, drawings by Michael Skop and Loren Connors.

In addition to this exhibit, the gallery is showing "Soot and Mirrors," featuring early and current works of clay horses and soot monoprints by Louise W. King.

Hours before Memorial Day are Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 pm. Hours after Memorial Day will be Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
