Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will open "Fifty Years of Teaching Art: Marija Pavlovich McCarthy and Her Students, Past and Present" April 20 with a reception from 2 to 4 p.m.

The show, which will run through May 25, will feature art by McCarthy and 25 current and former students.

McCarthy has taught nearly 100 students.

For this exhibit of paintings, watercolors and drawings, she has selected students who have been in her classes for a minimum of four semesters or whose work reflects the special role McCarthy has played in their development as artists.

The show may be seen at the South Street library Mondays from noon to 7 p.m., Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
