The Kent Art Association will open its second annual juried photography show Nov. 11 with a gala opening reception and awards presentation at 2 p.m.

The show at the gallery ( will run through Nov. 26.

A jury consisting of members of the association choose the photographs for exhibit.

Accepted works will be judged by the two show judges: award-winning photographer Deborah Rose of the Greater New Milford Spectrum and award-winning artist Susan Grisell of Gaylordsville.

Grisell’s works are highly sought after, and she has paintings in collections in both Europe and the United States.

The show will be open Thursdays through Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m.

It will be closed on Thanksgiving. However, it will be open Nov. 24-25 until 8 p.m. for champagne during the town’s Champagne Stroll, an event sponsored by the Kent Chamber of Commerce.

Hand-decorated Christmas balls, signed by the artist, will also be sold during the event.

All photographs are for sale and, if purchased during the stroll, may be taken that night.
