Reception to kick off ‘Art of the Animal’

The Gregory James Gallery in New Milford will open its next exhibit, “Art of the Animal,” June 27 with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m.
The show, which will run through Aug. 2, will feature works by 10 regional artists, including Bill Rice of Warren, Scott Zuckerman of Cornwall Bridge, Tommy Simpson of New Preston, Thomas Adkins of Southbury, John Swatsley, formerly of Harwinton, Sheila Tintera, formerly of New Milford, Christopher Magadini of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., Meg Lindsay of Irvington, N.Y., Clayton Buchanan of Newburgh, N.Y., and James Coe of Hannacroix, N.Y.
The gallery at 93 Park Lane Road (Route 202) is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and by appointment.
