�ROXBURY ROAD RACE SERIES: The 28th season of the Roxbury Road Race Series includes 40 races scheduled each Saturday through Dec. 4 - except July 3, during Independence Day weekend, and July 31, the day of the 37th annual New Milford 7.8-mile road race. The distances will range between 2.4 and 8.2 miles. Many of the events are between 2.4 and 4.8 miles. Each race starts at 8:30 a.m. The start and finish are in front of the Everett Hurlburt Community Park on West Apple Lane. The 4.3-mile MidSpring challenge will be held May 1; the 5.0-mile MidSummer championship is scheduled for July 10; and the 3.95-mile MidAutumn championship is slated for Nov. 6. There will be a $5 entry fee for each of those races, which will be donated to the Recreation Commission's park improvement fund. There will be no entry fee for the 37 other races.
