Quintet to perform in Roxbury

The Roxbury Congregational Church will sponsor a jazz concert featuring the Doug White Quintet April 25 at 7 p.m.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. at the 24 Church St. church.

The quintet features White, a tenor saxophonist, bass clarinetist and vocalist; pianist; Chris Casey, an instructor at the Hartt School and arranger and conductor of the Jackie McLean Orchestra; trumpeter Pat Casey; drummer Tido Holtkamp; and bassist Steve "King" Porter, also an instructor at Hartt who is well known for his work with the Winard Harper Quintet.

A donation of $10 is requested to support the church's outreach programs.
