The third annual Pumpkins in the Park event will be held Oct. 20 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. in New Milford.

A rain date is set for Oct. 21.

Festivities will take place at Harrybrooke Park off Still River Drive.

Offerings will include a haunted house for children, a jack-o-lantern display, actors, vendors, food and more.

In addition, a costume parade will be held at 7 p.m. and giant puppets and a sky lantern launch will be offered at 8:15 p.m.

Last year, more than 4,000 people attended the event.

Admission is $5 per person 5 and older. One free admission will be given for each carved pumpkin, with a three-inch votive candle, submitted for the pumpkin display. Children under 5 will be admitted for free. A family of four or more will be charged $20.

Pumpkins may be dropped off Oct. 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. and Oct. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Friends of Harrybrooke Park.
