The first annual Pumpkins in the Dark event will be held Saturday, Oct. 25 in New Milford.

Festivities will run from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at Sarah Noble Intermediate School on Sunny Valley Road.

Activities will include an outdoor jack-o-lantern display, a haunted hallway, vendors, food, live music, giant puppets and a costumer parade at 7 p.m.

Residents are invited to bring a carved pumpkin to the school Friday, Oct. 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. or Saturday, Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to be included in the display.

Admission is $5 per person. Children under 5 will be admitted for free. A family of four or more will be charged $20.

One free admission will be given for each carved pumpkin decorated with a three-inch votive candle.

Proceeds will benefit the New Milford PTO.
