The first Pumpkins in the Dark event will be offered Oct. 25 in New Milford.

Festivities will run from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at Sarah Noble Intermediate School along Sunny Valley Road.

Activities will include an outdoor jack-o-lantern display, a haunted hallway, vendors, food, live music, giant puppets and a costume parade at 7 p.m.

Residents are invited to bring a carved pumpkin to the school Oct. 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. or Oct. 25 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to be included in the display.

Admission will be $5 per person. Children under age 5 will be admitted for free. A family of four or more will be charged $20.

One free admission will be given for each carved pumpkin decorated with a three-inch votive candle.

Proceeds benefit the New Milford PTO.
