Hickory Stick Bookshop in Washington is participating in “Find Waldo” through the rest of this month.

The famous children's book character in the striped shirt and black-rimmed specs visit 20 different local businesses in Washington.

Candlewick Press, is once again teaming up with the American Booksellers Association and 250 independent bookstores all across the country, including Hickory Stick Bookshop, for some fun and to encourage residents to patronize their local businesses this month.

Waldo and his faithful dog, Woof, will be well hidden in several businesses, including the book store, the Washington Pizza House, The Panty, KMR Arts, the Washington Art Association and more.

Those wishing to participate can pick up a “Find Waldo Local in Washington Depot!” passport with the names of all the participating sites, and get their passport stamped or signed for each Waldo they find.

Waldo seekers who get their passports stamped or signed at 15 or more sites will be eligible to win prizes July 31 at the store’s Waldo prize party.

The top prize is a six-volume deluxe set of Waldo books.
