The Jewish Community Center in Sherman will offer a variety of events in the coming days. The premiere performance of "Lost & Found: A musical celebration" will be held Aug. 6.

The event will include a light dinner at 7 p.m., the performance at 8 p.m. and a dessert party after the show. The premiere was scheduled for June 6 but was postponed due to the loss of electricity for several days following a severe storm.

Written and performed by songwriter/singer Marilyn Zavidow, "Lost & Found" will feature original music, jazz, blues and a bit of Broadway.

The show is arranged and musically directed by Don Rebic, with Mr. Rebic at the piano, Brian Glassman on bass and Danny Mallon on percussion.

Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members, with proceeds to benefit the cultural and educational programs of the JCC in Sherman.

Other upcoming events will include "Jazzy Ladies," a Benny Carter Memorial concert with the Michelle LeBlanc Quartet, Aug. 13 with hors d'oeuvres at 7 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m.; a program about Sherman with Gloria Thorne of the Sherman Historical Society Aug. 14 at 11:30 a.m.; a "Garden Delights" cooking class with Adrienne Sussman Aug. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
