The After School Arts Program in Washington, which serves northwestern Connecticut, will offer a variety of programs and workshops in the coming days.

A hands-on workshop, “Recycled Sculpture & Printmaking,” will be offered April 2 from 3 to 5:30 p.m. at Washington Montessori School at 240 Litchfield Turnpike.

Students will work with visual artist Kezia Hearn and photographer and designer Alyssa Robb to create sculptures and prints using found and recycled objects, natural materials, and stamps that they design themselves.

“Sing! Shout! Turn Yourself About!” will be offered April 6, 13 and 27 and May 4 and 11.

Students in grades three to five are invited to participate in a five-part cooking series at The Silo at Hunt Hill Farm in New Milford beginning April 6.

The course will meet from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Upland Road center.

Nancy Stuart, director of youth and family culinary programs, will lead the course.

The cost is $60 for Region 12 residents and $90 for non-Region 12 residents.
